2nd day - Cafe hopping @ Hangnim Dabang (학림다방) teahouse

학림다방 (Hangnim Dabang Teahouse) is a popular meeting
place for students of Seoul National University who discussed
how to carry out the democratization movement over a cup of
coffee since 1959. It was also a favorite meeting place for
people from music, fine art, and drama circles.

Going up the stairway to the teahouse! Excited!

The night before, Ligna-ssi and I were randomly using our Seoul apps and
checking out popular and unique cafes around the vicinity that we can explore.
And that was how we ended up here, apart from Jasmine endorsing the place
as we read that "Love from the Stars" took a scene right at this cafe ~

It really has a whole collection of music, esp classical sorts

Picture taken at the small staircase that leads to level 2. We wanted very much
to sit at level 2 but...it was full house!

Barista at work

Wine collection too

Doesn't it give you a very traditional feel with a modernized
touch?

Wefie ~

Ligna-ssi not ready for the sudden photo. haha i think she just sank into the
cushioned settee seat.

The small staircase that goes up to level 2 teahouse.

Apparently if you watch the drama, Professor Do Min Joon played a round of
chess (장기) or the Chinese calls it the 將棋 at this cafe.

Hahaha just to prove that Jasmine was right about the show.

Lovely tea cakes. Like an english high-tea in a westernized traditional teahouse

우리 커피 한잔 하자!

Marks our stop at 학림다방 ^^

As we window-shopped...we saw him!
and had to continue taking photos with Kim Soo-Hyun.
Oh my...he was really getting popular in Seoul at that time.

Nolboo Army Stew Pot (Budae jjigae) is a MUST have
when you step in Seoul. So here we are!

The arrival of a huge pot of army stew deserves a picture too.

Ligna must be hungry. Waiting for the noodles to be cooked.

Just look at how yummy this pot is (slurps)

2 person sharing a huge pot and yet we are not defeated by it. That shows how
hungry and how yummy this pot of goodness is = )

Presenting the highlight of the pot - luncheon meat.

What do you see on the streets of K-wave. HAHA endless posters of K-stars
that sweep the feet off many young girls and ahjummas

Shopping time! I think i forced a picture of Ligna out of
fitting room. She looks so cute in this skirt.

Just showing that the fitting rooms actually provide you with
a pair of slippers to change into while you try your clothes.

Cafe hopping!

Cafes here have such interesting concepts

What we ordered? Smoothies and sweet cupckaes ot end
the day = )

Yummy Yummy

Can never be too full for more desserts

Peering out the window of cafe - colorful umbrellas.
Koreans really know how to dress up raining days.

Interior design of cafe

Last shot before we head off...to bedtime
