Last Seoul Day - The Flying Pan brunch at Itaewon

We have been wanting to try this brunch place, recommended
by our friend who lives in Seoul, Lilian. But there was a
long queue at our last trip...
The Flying Pan - interesting cafe name

About The Flying Pan. Basically it says that The Flying Pan
uses the analogy of the important cooking equipment "pan"
of the kitchen to bring about good food and service to customers

Im for savory pancakes haha

Coincidentally, i chanced upon a feature of this place on the magazine while

A day of Hanji Handcrafting and Traditional Teahouse

The hotel concierge was really helpful and helped us
searched for a place where we can experience hanji handcrafting.
I had made a call to the teacher (whom we'll be meeting)
and my first line to her was "너 영어 할 수있어요?"
LOL and guess what she replied me, "못 요"
Well, after killing much brain cells i managed to book
a slot with at the specific time in my Korean. And here we are!

These crafts look amazing, isnt it?
Took a snap at the namecard so that i'll never forget this place ^^

You can even make useful stuffs like table top clocks...

Ligna, getting excited or nervous before we start?

That's wefie in the art and craft place ^^

A display of all the crafts made of amazing hanji (한지)
Korean paper or hanji is the name of traditional handmade paper
from Korea. Hanji is made from the inner bark of Paper
Mulberry, a tree native to Korea that grows well on its
rocky mountainsides.

Some examples that our teacher showed us

This is an accessories box made of hanji.

시작이다!

Im starting to glue the hanji onto my box

The amazing teacher just effortlessly created this hanji
flower on the table..for our reference haha *stressed*

Got time to play?

A basket filled with scraps of colorful hanji paper for us to
use.

Im also hard at work!

Ligna chose green hanji paper as the base color to her box.
And 장장!

선생님 examining our end products and secretly scoring
in her heart hahaha!

A picture with lovely 선생님 is a must. We have graduated with our hanji
craft boxes!

예뻐?

Locking in memories of us experiencing Korean culture of hanji crafting.
What's best is that you get to bring your craft home

As we left the crafthouse, we continued along the artsy
street of Insadong. Unfortunately, it continues to drizzle.
And we chanced upon this really cool shop that customizes 도장

Visitors in the shop

A secret snap of the master at work

Numerous 도장 with interesting designs

I think it's very popular in Korea to make couple stuffs.
And here we have super sweet couple 도장 to seal the
love. LOL

Ligna asked for a Eiffel Tower 도장 as a gift to her godma

배고파요!

잘 먹겠습니다!

설렁탕  먹고싶어...!

김치전 왔어

Wanna know why i took a pic of this menu?
Becoz it is one of the restaurant outlet starring Lee Seung Gi
in drama 찬란한 유산. We've tried that stall at our last trip
and it was unforgettable...i mean the beef soup haha!

After which we headed to the Traditional Korean TeaHouse in Insadong

Yes, no rain is going to stop us from enjoying our day...

Huge containers...wonder what's in there?

Found a nice spot in the tea house.

A range of 차 available for you to order

And other drinks too...

The interior of the traditional tea house. Very hanok style.

An afternoon should be spent in a good way, just like this.

Trying to secretly snap a pic of the private room where
ahjummas gather, laugh and gossip over their kinda
traditional hi-tea = ) The Korean style.

Beneath our table are memos written by patrons of
the tea house, and displayed for you to read at your leisure
while you sip on the tea

Ligna's tea selection. Yugwa, honey rice cookies are actually served alongside
with each tea ordered. But we were oblivious to that of coz and separately
ordered it as a dessert. Haha and guess what, it came in a pile, literally.
Luckily it is so soft, light and tasty that we didnt have problems finishing
it up. Regretted not doing a take-away haha that's how much i like it.

My  Omija-cha, which means it has 5 tastes (sour, sweet,
bitter, salty and spicy)

Our table. Now you see it now you dont!

Ahh now i remembered what we ordered after reading this note we left for
the tea house. Till next time~

Happy Cha time!

Exterior of the tea house

Totally in love with the garden. If it wasnt raining, they would have outdoor
seats which will also be perfect for a cold weather.

Little pavilion next to the tea house

Just snapping what's opposite the tea house.

A popular mandu place? Next time okay, we are too full to eat more haha

 Insadong's Ssamjigil - shopping haven

We didnt manage to visit this place as we were distracted
by the O'sulloc tea house

O'sulloc tea house at Insadong

And the wonders of a tea house selection

I bought this milk tea home due to my obsession with
milk tea ^^ Honestly it was okay, not exactly fantastic.

It is their specialisation

The range of flower scented tea are just overwhelmingly pretty

Cherry Blossom tea is a must!

On the shelves

Tea, everyday

Had alot of time taking photos becoz Ligna was spoilt for
choice in her tea selection hahaha

Insadong is the place to go for traditional culture and craft

Not forgetting capturing the sight of beautiful flowers

La claire gallery? Time to move to Korea, dont you agree?

Last visit of the night - Lotte Mart at Seoul's station

This is the mart that you cannot NOT visit when you come
to Seoul. So much to buy!

They even sell ready to take-out fried chickens

Premium chocolate endorsed by Kim Soo Hyun ^^
Of coz, we were tempted to but didnt in the end.

Look!

Were we inspired but the take-out fried chix that while
we came back to Myeongdong, we decided to do a take
out from their Fried chicken stalls!

Tasty and non-oily fried chicken (i dont bluff)

Eating at the comfort of our hotel room

Sides to go with - fries for life!
The perfect supper to end our last night in Seoul for this trip.
