Cultural Experience in making 한식!

Ligna-ssi & 선생님, Seng Yi-ssi

Agnes-ssi & Seng Yi-ssi..."Kimchi~"

Seng Yi-ssi & me!
Even when we were late for the Kimchi &
Ddeokbokki making session, they were so nice and let us
continue with cooking! Never be late in Korean culture,
that we have to learn..

The 6th Kara? Haha we sure had fun even at Chongga

Starstruck time in Chongga

Chongga (종가집) has been the pioneer in Ready to eat Kimchi industry.
We learnt from Seng Yi-ssi that there are 100 types of kimchi. Bossam Kimchi
is one of the many. Bossam is type of ssam in Korean cuisine in which pork is
wrapped in a leaf vegetable. Bossam Kimchi is wrapped with cabbage leaves.

Poggi Kimchi is whole cabbage kimchi. It is typically salty and juicy! Yums, just
like the ones we made, whole cabbage kimchi

At the cooking class we learnt that Ddeokbokki tastes really good with Korean
rice wine, 막걸리!

Ddeokbokki sauce

Korean's favourite beef bone soup. Comes even in off the shelf packaging.

A cultural day indeeed! From making, cooking, seeing & reading, there's just so
much to do in Korea!

That's how we store the bottles of Kimchi we made in Chongga - enjoying the
natural coolness being left at our balcony = )

Lookie! 16 Oct 2013 - birth of our own-made kimchi!

Walking down the streets of Myeongdong. Heading to our
next stop, Lunch! 정말 배고파 ~
(Stomach growls)

At a restaurant that specializes in 죽!

Trust me, we were all very excited over the 죽 that we
have ordered!

I think the girls had ordered abalone & seafood (cant
remember exactly, guess i was too hungry heh) 죽

The spacious restaurant

All nice and quiet. Good place to rest our feet!

Presenting my Abalone 죽! Unique taste that we had missed
since the hotel served it for breakfast at Jeju.

That's when we spotted...Lapelette boutique store!

Hahaha Agnes-ssi keep on going that's Lapalette is a "Horse brand" because
of it's logo and of course, this white horse that sits right outside the boutique.
Lapalette is supposed to be an artistic contemporary brand that draws refined
conjunction of art and fashion.

The girls and the Lapalette horse = ) I secretly think that Agnes-ssi has a special
thing for the horse, haha!

Inside the store, this was what i saw.

My mum has always wanted a laptop bag to put her lyrics book. She chose the
yellow one. Sadly, it doesnt come with the horse charm.

They storekeepers finally agreed to let us take photos since
i've decided to bring the celeb-choice home, but in pink!
Thanks to my neighbour for inspiring me haha

Ligna-ssi who was struggling if she should buy this bag. She
didnt buy it in the end though both Agnes-ssi & me thought it
really suited her..we were seriously like the salesgirl!

Agnes-ssi & her favorite instrument inspired dinner bag.
She decided to spend on the MCM instead. Haha
never mind, next time!

Took this magic ball with their iconic, rocking horse
while Ligna-ssi was thinking if she should buy the bag haha

Goodbye Lapalette!
우리 다시 만날 때까지!
